yesterday did mostly checking of duty roster
for both cabin and flight deck
i just realise
no one updated the cabin one for quite some time
so today i'll need to continue more

did swapping for cabin crew.

One day we can receive up till 100 emails, requesting for swapping of the duty.

However, most of the cases, we have to reject them, and they are those who are swapping a flight duty with an off day.

Catherine, who’s in charge of cabin crew swapping, told me that we cannot allow the swaps for this because of the illegalities, such as the maximum numbers of flying hours and the number of off days permitted in a week.

So by allowing those swaps, their June roster will be in a mess due to the illegalities from the May roster.

The only time when we allow the changes is only with there’s a balance with the swap of the day off, for example, A wants to swap 20^th may; a flight duty, and 21^st; an off day, with B, 20^th may; an off day, and 21^st; a flight duty, we can allow these changes because it doesn’t affect much since the day off are still there.

 Needless to say, swapping of flight is allowed but not if the case is that one flight is 2 days long, and one is one day long.

The reason we can get up till 100 plus emails per day requesting for swaps are because of spam.

 A requests for a swap between A and B, B in most cases, will also repeat the email, and sometimes, even a total outsider, C, will send in the request for A and B. Thus most of them are repeated ones.

 If the swap is approved, we’ll edit it and send the info to their crew web portal to have them confirm, while rejected ones, we’ll send them a sms informing that their swaps are declined due to reasons.

Geneva shutdown

yesterday
because Geneva is shutting down...
( from what i know is for a few hours )
we needed to save all the important data from Geneva about the past datas.
so i kept myself busy after checking roster and did landing
by saving the crew roster from may 2011,
flying hours (yearly as FA and PUR ) for cabin
flying hours (yearly, person by person ) for tech
crew recency expiries,
flight & duty time summary
duty detail report and
duty type summary

FA loaded the slowest....
i remember it needing to load at least 10 minutes when i was extracting their roster

i finished 6 reflection in my log book
and around 1/4 done for the big reflection.
i let Al, (the big boss of flight ops) sign an entry
i feel quite bad though
because he doesn't know exactly what i did
and Ernita is always busy
and Ravi... well he's busy running around and doesn't know as much as what Ernita knew i was doing.
who should i pick to sign?
i'm troubled...

anyway
yesterday had macs
Samuel was fasting...
and i was quite stunned
till he told me he is a protestant
so they have this fasting period
for a week, where they will only have 2 meal a day
but it's completely self obligatory
so he's skipping out of lunch.

tonight i might be going to Gilbert's house...

i'll be baking the victorian cake with my mum tomorrow~

did some missing crew's data... around 8 of them

then worked with Ernita to start clearing all the flight deck crew's documents
so i'm the one checking through all of the papers of each person for their license, simulator dates, passport numbers, etc etc, reading them all out to Ernita, who's checking via Rocade and Geneva at the same time so she can make the necessary amendments...
we started out with captains, from A till end of C
so calculating, we need roughly 10 plus more hours to finish both captains and FOs,
meaning we'll probably finish it tomorrow
if we can focus and not get started on other things....

i'm still not used to this laptop
i need to press harder on the keyboard to trigger the alphabets...
and it's loger in breadth than length
and they keyboard's arrangement is different from mine
which made me quite uncomfortable
though i prefer old computer's screen resolution
i can't complain much now that i can on my shimeji and listen to youtube.

yesterday
data entry
there's a list of the flight crew's recency documents,
so after finish filing them all in their own files
i had 19 pages of all their document listing with their check and expiry date
make a guess?
i had to crosscheck the dates according to Geneva
or was it Rocade
just cross checking and making a note whenever there's a difference in the dates
so i've done like... 14 pages...
so i guess i'll be doing it till lunch to finish up everything
and we'll see what i'll be doing later.

yesterday lunch
i finally knew what's with my sudden outburst of pimples
i've been eating clams
and each spaghetti has around 10 of them
and i ate at least 3 times this past 3 weeks
makes sense~
shall cut down on that

monday i tried to update twice after i fucked up something
and this stupid blog wouldn't let me save my updates
and yea
even  though the problem's gone
it still doesn't change the fact that i'm still sad and mad over it

today's my dad's birthday

monday after the fucked up
i did the recency
which is something like updating  the flight deck crew's documentations
like when they took their aircraft rotation or line check thingy
and when they expire
then check back their roster till last day of april

so today i have no idea what we were supposed to do.
only Jason's here, Samuel flew off to Phuket, and Daniel had the day off, and Ryan's last day was on Monday so he's no longer working in Jetstar
i doubt Jason would know what we were supposed to do
since he isn't here on Monday
but now that the flight ops people started using Rocade (i suppose)
i really.... wait
i think we were supposed to check roster
but instead of editing Rocade, we need to edit Geneva instead
but my Geneva account is a aread only account
only Jason has the account to be able to make changes and i haven't any of those kind of accounts
oh and we might need to change the flight timings
but that's in Rocade.... are the flightops people doing it i wonder...
i might be doing tech logs then...
since there's still alot and Ryan, the main person in charge, is gone...

haven't updated my logbook for like 5 weeks...

i moved table~~
from the meeting room to the main flight ops room
and i'm using margarita's table since she's on maternity leave
well i don't complain
the aircon 's cool
behind me i can see the sky train entering terminal 1
what else can i request~?

so i was running around everywhere,
entering the details of people into Rocade
and filing the recency documentations into files.
quite tedious since one person has a file
but at least it's neat.

yea i  ran from flight ops to cabin, to flight ops, to main office-HR then back to flight ops, then cabin and flight ops
tired out.
Mag says she's gonna pass me some of her new clothes that she doesn't wear
i doubt i can wear
she's 10cm taller than me...

seems like next week the american and japanese are coming back~
though there's a new british lady, i do hope the spanish lady comes back too....
